Privacy Policy

The short version: your audio never touches our servers. It's transcribed in your browser, on your device, and stored in your own Google Drive. Our server keeps only your transcript and edits. We don't sell or mine anything, and deleting a project deletes it.

What we collect

Account details — your email, name (optional), and a securely hashed password. We never store your password itself.
Your transcripts and edits — the text of your transcript and the edits you make are stored in your private workspace until you delete them. Your audio itself is not stored or processed on our servers: it goes directly from your browser to your own Google Drive, and a compact waveform outline (not audio) is kept so the editor can draw it.
Session cookie — one cookie that keeps you signed in. No advertising or tracking cookies, no third-party analytics.

Google Drive

If you connect Google Drive, Teetus asks for the narrowest permission Google offers (drive.file): it can create files and folders and see only the files it created. It cannot read, browse, or modify anything else in your Drive. Your finished recordings, transcripts and exports are saved to a "Teetus" folder in your Drive. You can disconnect at any time from inside Teetus or from your Google account permissions.

Teetus's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

What we never do

Sell, rent, or share your recordings or personal data with anyone.
Use your audio to train AI models.
Read your transcripts except as needed to operate the service or when you explicitly ask us to help with a problem.
Send you marketing email without your consent.

Where processing happens

On your device. Speech recognition runs inside your browser using your own computer's processor — your audio is never uploaded to us for transcription. Audio files go directly from your browser to your own Google Drive, and play back directly from there. We use no third-party processors beyond our hosting provider (Hostinger, which serves this website) and Google Drive, which you connect yourself.

Retention and deletion

Deleting a project permanently removes its transcript from our server. Deleting your account removes your entire workspace. Files already saved to your own Google Drive remain in your Drive — they belong to you.

Security

Traffic is encrypted with TLS. Passwords are hashed with scrypt. Session tokens are stored only as hashes. Each account's files live in an isolated workspace that other accounts cannot reach.
